Villa Hideaway in the Istrian country side

The natural building material in the 19th century all around the Mediterranean sea was stone. So Croatia makes here no exception to find these typical stone houses. This one was 2018 enlarged with two modern wings.

Inside Area

Thus the house has now 3 bedrooms – with 3 double beds, 2 large bathrooms, a separate toilet, a kitchen and a spacious living room with a fireplace and a huge window overlooking the garden.

The kitchen is fully equipped and offers the possibility of preparing any kind of delicacies. Oven, gas stoves, spacious fridge with a freezer compartment and a dishwasher are part of the set up appliances.

Thanks to thick stone walls, the stone house offers a cool and pleasant summer climate, Wi-Fi and a large TV with a satellite receiver. With an internal surface of 140 m² and a 850 m² garden it will certainly satisfy even the most demanding comfort standards.

Outside Area

The outside kitchen offers barbecue facilities. A swimming pool with outside shower will provide refreshment. On comfortable deckchairs you can enjoy the luxuriant garden full of mediterranean plants and scents.

This one is bordered by an ancient dry stone wall. A free, shaded parking area provides space for two vehicles. You’ll find 2 bikes free to use and a lockable storage room for your equipment.

As guests you will have the whole property for you alone. At check-in we will show you the house and facilities and then we will let you enjoy the peace and tranquility in solitude. However, we remain available for any need you might have. We speak German, English, Italian, French, Croatian.

The house has enough room for 6+2 people. We offer three double bedrooms. Each equipped with a king size double bed, air-conditioner, wardrobe, table and chairs.

The first bedroom has a huge glass sliding door which opens to the terrace. This room offers you a lovely view to the garden. It has a queen size double bed, a wardrobe and sideboard. The Bathroom is just next to it.

The second bedroom is located in the 1st floor of the old stone house with its original stone walls and clay tile floor from the 19th century.  The room is equipped with a 160cm double bed.

The home is located in Vižinada, Istarska županija, Croatia.
The village of Vranje Selo lies in the middle of a truly wonderful and untouched nature. From the house you can directly walk into the Istrian landscape, amongst woods, olive groves and vineyards.

Several beautiful beaches, such as Cervar, can be reached in no more than 15 minutes by car. The surroundings of Vranje Selo are a paradise for lovers of good wine. Just a few steps away you will find some of the most famous Istrian winemakers.

In the nearby village of Vižinada, only 2 km from the house, there are two grocery stores, a bar, ATM and a post office. In the immediate vicinity there are several restaurants and farmhouses with an exceptional traditional Istrian cuisine.

For kids there is a small playground in the village and some amusement parks in the vicinity like Aquapark Istralandia, Aquacolors in Poreč and Dinopark in Funtana.

Larger cities such as Poreč and Novigrad lie within a quarter of an hour’s drive distance, while at the same distance there are the beautiful medieval towns of Groznjan and Motovun, well-known by truffle lovers. In Motovun in July the Open Air Film Festival is held. The picturesque towns of Rovinj and Piran can be reached in about forty minutes by car.

There are several places to do paragliding in the area, even as a tandem experience.

Parenzana, an amazing cycling trail with breathtaking views over the region, extends on the Parenzana railroad track from the beginning of the last century, for 123 kilometers from Trieste to Poreč, passing through Visinada. You can rent mountain bikes right there.
